any clubs take a 25 year old?

    Hi all

    just wanted to ask a quick question

    Im looking to join a boxing club in dublin

    I have done a bit of boxing as a teenager and
    would like to get back into it
    im still reasonably fit but i heard most clubs wouldnt accept someone my age

    Is there any places anyone could recommend ?

    if you are willing to fight in intermediaites and seniors anyone will take you on once you're not sh*te

    il check around a few places tomorrow

    i heard theres a club in smithfield so il give them a shout

    Is there not a novice section? like if you have less than 5 fights you have to face someone with less than 5 also?

    Yeah most clubs would take you. Where are you from and we will try recommend the best club in your area.

    Yeah the Novices are for people who are aged 17+ and have 5 fights or less at time of weigh in.

    Im from dundalk but living in dublin 2 the last while

    I dont mind traveling a bit though if the clubs outside the centre

    I'm involved with a club out in Monkstown. At the moment we have quite a few over 18's beginners. Your more than welcome to come out some night for a session.
    We train on Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 7pm to about 8.30/9pm.
    Subs are just €2 per night.

    More central to town is Dublin Docklands, Corinthians, St. Saviours & that club in smithfield aswell.........all the details are in the stickies at the top the page.

    jp-thanks for the offer,il be happy to come out and train at monkstown-its only a few dart stops away from the centre

    cowzerp-thanks as well- i will be happy to update the thread and let everyone know how it goes
