    Hi,

I've been having some trouble with my bike in so far as the front brake doesn't accept the cable any more. (Screw threaded etc.). I fixed it about 6 weeks ago. I adjusted it this evening and its back broken again!

Anyway I've decided to a replacement brake altogether.

I was thinking of Shimano Sora Brake 3400 €10.90 from CRC. Because its cheap!

Will this be compatible with my bike and is it an easy enough operation to replace it?

    cheers.

Yes, it'll fit and it's easy to install - just needs an allen key.

if your talking brakes, never try to replace/use/own a modern front brake for a 1992 raleigh with modern wheels. basically it'll end in tears, and then fustration followed by confusion why will you not stop squeeking/vibrating my whole bike when pulled? does anyone have an answer?

i suspect the front fork is resonating cos it's not as stiff as modern ones are, combined with possibly not having the brakes properly toed-in (or is it toe-ind?).

yeah i think someone said that to me.. damn raleigh and their vintage sweet forks. well i have the front brake in case i need to haul on the anchors even if it makes noise and i'll just be going brakeless.....
what would a carbon fork on a 1992 raleigh do.......
