Im having a problem midi mapping the volume slider in some of the tracks in my project.

When i move the slider on my midi controller the slider on ableton barely moves at all.(some tracks work perfect but im having a problem with others)

A message on the info bar along the bottom read
"Track volume awaiting pickup infDB >> 6.00dB ".
(these values change when i move the midi controller slider)

    Any help apreciated.

sounds like the settings on the perticular control are wrong.

in edit mode in the controller make sure max value is set to 127

i dont think its the midi controller because the slider on the midi controller works grand on different tracks in the project

I know this sounds silly, but all versions of software and drivers up to date?

    They are yeah.

I am pretty sure it is a setting on that particular track in ableton tho.
Because the midi controller works perfect on another tracks volume slider.

It just 1 or 2 tracks voulume slider that wont respond correctly.

I emailed ableton support with my problem and ten minutes later i got this emailed to me:
    Hi
you have chosen the takeover mode "pickup" in the midi/sync preferences - each fader in Live is awaiting a pickup until it gets moved by an external controller. If you don´t like this behavior, you might want to set it to "none"
Please see the Live manual, chapter 23.1.3 for further details.

    Best regards,

    It solved my problem.
    fair play to their support!
