Airline travel worth the bother?

I travelled more last year than any other year. I enjoyed seeing a fair few different countries but I'm feeling really disillusioned with the airline and airports part of travel. Today I returned from a long trip and I really am feeling fook this for a lark. As an airline passenger these days you are treated so crap.

Travellers comfort seems to be well down the list of priorities of most airports. My journey involved two stops in the US in transit - it's extra sh1t there - the intrusive questions the security people ask you make yeah feel like you're a criminal (I know there are valid arguments for the neccessity of this - but I don't have to like it). I'm going to avoid going through the US again like the plague as a result.

Unless you can afford business class you get a really cramped seat. At 5'10" which is about average these days I suppose for a guy I feel cramped - so god help yeah if you're tall it must be even more uncomfortable.

At the end of a gruelling trip you can end up getting an ignorant taxi-driver (Lisbon taxi drivers = not good) who is pissed off that he's got a short haul fair.

Anyway for me personally I'm sure I'm going to fly again. But it's something I can see myself cutting right back on especially when it comes to connecting flights.
