    Near Media Coop require a Community Outreach Co-ordinator

    Near Media Co-op is seeking applications for the following position:

    Job Title:

    Community Outreach Co-ordinator

    Location:

    Coolock Development Centre, Bunratty Avenue, D.17

    Hours:
    Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm with some flexibility for some evenings and weekends.

    Job Role:
    The Community Outreach Co-ordinator will have overall responsibility for the empowerment of the community and volunteers throughout the near media co-op.

    Outreach coordination will also carry responsibility for the co-ordination and operation of specified international projects.

    This position may require some international travel.

    The key areas which the Co-ordinator will be responsible for are as follows:

    Co-ordination and administration of the Outside Broadcast schedule and liaising with Community groups

    Involving the community through access and training

    Liaising with the co-ordinating committee and its agent

    General Administration of International projects and Liaising with International partners

    To oversee involvements of volunteer base

    To review and evaluate the community groups role

    To liase with the local statutory sector

    Salary:

    €29,000 to €33,500 dependent on experience and qualifications

    The successful candidate will report to and be responsible to the Co-operative Co-ordinator and the Chairperson of the Co-op’s Management Committee.
