Price to build a wall?

    i`m looking to get a wall built 8 meteres with gates and another two meteres at each end does anybody know what quote i should accept from a brick layer and also will i have to dig out foundations myself? i want to go three foot high and also put in gates.?
    this will be about a 12 meter job will i get charged by brick or by days ? i`m not sure ..

    any suggestions and quotes to expect would be greatful .
