I read on another forum about digital TVR's from Honeywell.Don't think they are available in Ireland, but the guy that posted the info got them from germany and he said the shipping was €11 regardless of how many you buy.I have no link with these companies, just that they seem interesting and look like a good solution. As far as I know they fit Irish/Uk fittings, but for some strange reason they don't seem to sell them here (maybe I'm wrong).Anyone any experience of them?

They have a feature where by they close the thermostat if someone opens the window.

Search the site for : Honeywell Thermostat HR 20

Good find. You still have to make sure the heating is on even though the TRV may be calling for heat. With the regular TRV you can easily see what it is set at - with that device you have to get down and look.

In any event that device has been superceded by the HR80 which you can radio control using Central user panel CM67z which fires the boiler through a relay. See http://www.cm-zone.com The CM zone kits cost about 500 euro for a two zone 6 rad kit.
