Recommend a 'cheapish' romantic break in Ireland, May 09

    Hi there,

getting married in May 09, and we can't have our honeymoon for a few weeks after the wedding. In the mean time we would like to have a night or two away, somewhere easily commutable from Dublin, that is romantic, but not mega expensive.

Any one any suggestions? dates are 8th May -10th May - just want to have some sort of romantic night away if possible, instead of waiting 6 weeks for the real honeymoon?

was thinking a spa break, or some nice country lodge, with some sightseeing nearby. Will have access to a car. Only problem is once youuse the words 'romantic' or 'honeymoon' in a hotel search prices seem to jump up dramatically!

It doesn't have to be 5 star, or even any star - more interested in getting feedback from places you have been and thought were ideal for a coupley romantic break?

    all suggestions greatly appreciated
