    1. This is a public poll. Other users will be able to see which option you voted for.
    2. Only ONE nomination per user, per week shall be accepted.
    3. If a particular album goes to the vote, then it shall not be accepted as a nomination for a subsequent three months.
    4. Users may use the thanks feature to generate further interest for any album being nominated. This does NOT count towards that users nomination for that week. Put simply, you can "thank" as many nominations as you like.
    5. If there is a tie-break with any if the nominations, then the album that was nominated first shall be put to the vote,so get your nominations in early
    6. Dont forget to Votewink.gif
    Apologies for the delay :)

Band Of Horses - Everything All The Time
Toss up between MBV and fujiya and miyagi. Have to go with MBV as it is a proper classic.

Voting for My Bloody Valentine, very good album, though slightly overrated IMO.

Fujiya & Miyagi - Transparent Things
    slightly overrated IMO.

Definitely! I fully admit that I could be talking out my own arse, but I get the impression that it's an album that's cool to say you like.

Band Of Horses - Everything All The Time
While I love Everything All The Time I don't think it will ever match Loveless in my book.

[Edit]Anyone gone to see the My Bloody Valentine 3D concert movie yet?[/edit]

Band Of Horses - Everything All The Time
Definitely! I fully admit that I could be talking out my own arse, but I get the impression that it's an album that's cool to say you like.

Not really. Most of my 'hip n' trendy' musician friends (no less) constantly tell me that they think that MBV are total shih and that I should do away with their nonsense. It's actually pretty rare that I come across people - in person - who like them. <snipe>It definitely ain't as cool or trendy as saying that you like Fleet Foxes or Vampire Weekend, that's for sure... <snipe>

So, IMO that you're fully speaking out your own end, d00d. ;)

Loveless is a bit over-rated though amongst MBV lovers, including me. But I definitely prefer the raw intensity of Isn't Anything. It just captures and blends that beautiful dissonance of sheer sound, noise and perfect pop melody together so perfectly. And the lack of synths in it can be a welcome relief a lot of the time and makes it edgier IMO.
But I guess the reason why Isn't Anything isn't regarded as their holy grail album is simply because it was their first album which gave them their pedestal, which they secured for good with Loveless, thus ensuring 'legendary' status. So, Loveless was really just the one that re-affirmed all our suspicions doubts for us, while still totally blowing us all away.

Though, I was in fact going to nominate IA instead of Loveless except it already has been AOTW before, the very first AOTM no less! :)

sorry for the rant and pure conjecture!!

    My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
Loveless is my favourite album out of those but I voted for White Chalk because I would like to hear what people think of it. I haven't heard the last one.

I love White Chalk, brings back memories of early PJ.. I'm partial to Loveless, but usually was ripped to the tits on LSD listening to it, then checking the kitchen microwave for tigers, and wondering if the Apple tree outside was 'holding' the apples.

I agree. 'Isn't Anything' is a far better record. As are the 'You Made Me Realise' and 'Glider' eps.

From this list, My Bloody Valentine. It's a good album, but not bright. But brighter than others ( just my opinion ).
