New Legacy - a mess...

As a current Legacy owner I'm really disappointed by this ATM, I really thought Subaru would go for an elegant modernisation of the current design. Whoever is responsible for 'design' at Subaru needs to be brought out and shot. A great range of powerplants and engineering integrity are completely wasted because the cleaner double-jobs as head-of-design (there can be no other explanation).

Why try to fix something if its not broken? IMO, Subaru are on to a winner with the current design, why not just update it?

It does look like an odd mish mash of a number of current designs, but is still a good deal more appealing than any of their current shape IMO. Suburu seriously needs to re-invent itself though to survive, not sure if this will do it though.

If you clean all the concept-car chrome and bling lights off it, I don't think it'll be that bad.

I'd expect it to be more mainstream than the current one, just as the new Impreza and Forester were.Subaru need sales more than a fan club.

It's not the greatest IMO, though surely it'll be toned down from the "concept" version as cars usually are

Maybe, maybe... Perhaps I'm jumping the gun. I'm aware that concept-car 'bling' is confusing the issue and from some angles it looks OK. However I AM disappointed by the increase in window/windscreen height. The current car is quite low-slung which adds to it's appeal IMO...

Now that i've looked at it again, i dont actually think its that bad. Still not as nice as the current model, but not too bad all the same.

have to disagree, it looks like it has been crushed from both sides for a minute or so, then they saved it.

Looks cool to me !!
I had a test drive the other day in the new Diesel Imprza really nice car with plenty of power and torque and at € 21.5 K im very tempted .
