Am thinking of going for a three night break in London with Mrs and 11 year old boy. Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced hotel , that would be central for sightseeing in London. ;)

just back from there with OH, stayed in hilton in holland park avenue, kensington. only 180 for 2 nights(breakfast incl.) Holland Park Tube 5 mins away, quiet area. Sightseeing tour bus stops right outside. Fantastic hotel. Just to add, if you have time, go and see the Thriller musical in Lyric Theatre. Worth every penny. You will need to buy tickets online to get good seats.

If you could get a good deal, and i'm sure you could at around this time of the year, the best located hotel in London is the St. Martins Lane. Superb design and only 300 yards from Trafalgar Square, and also a short walk to Leicester Sq., Buckingham Palace etc.etc. Couldn't praise it enough!

This site tends to be quite reasonable.
