Weekend commuting

Hi all, just seeing if anyone here can help - I've been scouring the rail, bus and private coach timetables trying to find the best option.

Basically I'm starting work in Celbridge soon and I'm trying to figure out my options for coming home to Limerick at weekends. I'll be looking for accomodation in the Celbridge/Lucan/Leixlip area depending on where the trains/buses go. The best option I can find is Leixlip to Dublin and on to Limerick with a total of about 5 hours and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any better options?
Thanks in advance for any consideration.

Go to the train station in Celbridge (Hazelhatch & Celbridge) and get a train. You may have to change in Kildare or Heuston.

You might get some hassle via Heuston, so print off your itinerary from the website.

I thought the train from HazelHatch brought you to Connolly which would mean getting to Heuston to get the train to Limerick. Could be wrong though.
How's about getting the train from Hazelhatch to Galway and then get a bus down? If timing is on your side, shouldn't take 5 hours.

Hazelhatch is on the wrong line to bring you to Connolly... It brings you to Heuston. You also couldn't get a train to Galway if it ran in to Connolly (using current working practices, both are of course possible but not done with the tunnel); nor do I believe any of the trains to Galway that pass through it stop there?

    Victor's post is correct...
