    Hi all

I'm just about to start some running training but i need to bu a new pair of trainers as I will be doing pretty much all the running on roads.

Can anyone recommend the best brand of trainers for this or is it just a personal choice. I know my dad wears New Balance because they were recommended to him by a physio (I think...) as being good for the joints etc etc.

    Thanks

There's no absolute *best* brand of trainers. I'd advise you to go to a running shop (Amphibian King in Bray etc) and get a proper gait analysis done, and they will be able to advise you on what you should be wearing. I know that when I started running, I had to be careful to get the right shoes as I have low arches which were caused by 6 years of TKD training!
