My colleague and I are very experienced commercial chartered accountants who would provide invaluable help to businesses with problems. I think the services we can offer would include:

    (i) bank debt negotiation
(ii) property investments requiring renegotiation with banks or other investors
(iii) set up excellent financail controls, business plans
(iv) review business and recommend plan of action
    (v) pre receiver review
    (vi) investment advice, due diligence
(vii) business ppans for banks, new investors
(viii) sourcing new investors if the opportunity makes sense

Do you think there is an opportunity in this space for a company that does not do audit?

You would just be putting yourself in a precarious position. How would you get paid? You would have to be in a position to be installed as the examiner, receiver or liquidator of the company. Alternatively you would have to be acting on behalf of a prospective investor or a shareholder. Alternatively again, you could just buy the ailing business.
