    Hi.

Hope this is in the right place....

I'm looking to buy (my first) flatscreen tv but when I went looking in the shops I didn't have a clue what the different specs each tv has means.

What do all the stickers around the screen mean?? And are there any specs that out weigh others in importance??

Maybe someone could provide a link to somewhere where this is all expalined???

    Thanks!

There is a fair bit if jargon our there. I thought I was reasonable technical, but in my latest tour of this territory a lot of new features are there.

If you dont care about HD, you dont need to spend big buying 1080p screens. Most of the Series 4 or 5 Samsungs are good bets. You can stick to the "HD Ready" as opposed to full HD screens.

Have a look at http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/selector.php there is a chooser there of TV's they have reviewed which can help you start off.

I suggest you go to a few shops and ask the people there some questions.
