    Are the speeds the exact same? ie. they aren't slightly slower using the adaptor as opposed to connecting it straight up?

    I use an Apple Airport Extreme (it has a bridge mode) and it works great, plus you can use it as a travel router and for streaming tunes... You could probably pick up one of the older 802.11g ones for a lot less than the €89 asking price of the current 802.11n one...
