Barton 2500 comparative to Dual Atom?

I want to upgrade 'sideways', not pushed on getting something powerful or power hungry.

Currently using a Barton 2500 with an MSI KT6 Delta-FISR motherboard. I've been looking at the Intel® Desktop Board D945GCLF2, which has an integrated dual Atom 330 CPU.

My case is a budget Antec SLk1650B (Black) http://www.antec.com/usa/productDetails.php?lan=us&id=91654&type=1

I just need access to two SATA channels and 1 PATA, then I'm happy. Six USB minimum.

Would the Atom 330 be comparable to the Barton 2500? I would also be looking to buy a fanless PSU.

I was also thinking about swap to an atom (don't need that much power, want quiet PC), however I read that actually dual atom is far far behind Athlon XP (Barton) CPUs.
I read that it's similar to Pentium 3's ... This was na NO NO for me.

(I end up with Athlon 64 X2 and quiet fans, nosiless)
