Barton 2500 comparative to Dual Atom?

    I was also thinking about swap to an atom (don't need that much power, want quiet PC), however I read that actually dual atom is far far behind Athlon XP (Barton) CPUs.
    I read that it's similar to Pentium 3's ... This was na NO NO for me.

    (I end up with Athlon 64 X2 and quiet fans, nosiless) :)
