    Hi

the sister has a 2002 VW Polo (9N model) and it needs a new wing mirror on each side.

Anyone got any ideas where to pick up a couple of these at a reasonable price?

    Thanks

What kind of prices have you found so far, like from a main dealer or a breakers yard?

Micks garage does them but they come black I think you would need to spray them the colour of the car, €89.90 each, not sure if that includes the glass or not...

My sister needed one for her Lupo and priced one from the local VW dealer. Cost about €38 euro including VAT for the outside housing. She didn't need the actual glass itself or to have it paint though.

I'd try a scrap yard too.

I did a search of car breakers via the web but it didn't turn up any available.

I had a look at Mick's garage and black would be grand as the car is black. I thought 89 each was a bit steep and I then found a lad in the UK selling them via eBay for 38GBP each.

Beginning to think the eBay option might be the most cost-effective.

p.s. they are electric and she managed to smash the whole mirror off both sides

p.p.s she works in a not-so-safe area and I suspect they were kicked off the car

Give www.traynors.co.uk a ring. They deliver to the South.

Just to close out on this.. I tried practically every place in Ireland, North and South including Traynor's and nobody could offer me a mirror for less than 100 euros a piece.

I finally picked up a brand spanking new pair from Allparts in the uk

    http://www.allpartssouthwest.com/

And overall including shipping the pair of new mirrors came to 98 euros.

Off now today to fit them onto the sisters car. She won't appreciate it of course.
