i went to a thing in cologne back a few years ago and we got on really well with german kids and italians but like do you ever think someday italians will be like ''those langers in cork havent a clue'' hahah what i mean is we could understand each other socially?

sorry just a bit random here. crap question

No, cultural and geographical differences will always create distinct groupings.
    Its human nature.

I doubt it also. It would be like the 9pm news in Ohio reporting on an Internationalnews event :)

Here in France with a pop of over 50million it's already hard enough to understand everything about people in different regions let alone people from other countries.

No and I also consider people who want that extremely dangerious.

How is wanting a more united Europe "extremely dangerous"?

Is it really any different than going back hundreds of years and saying uniting city states/kingdoms into a single country would be dangerous?

Why is that the way forward?

Well it did give us nationalism, increased imperialism and all the associated ills, so perhaps yes.

as the OP has outlined it does not necessarily equate to a politically united Europe in any case.

exactly what i meant. just curious what people thought on this, considering we are all part of the European Union.
