    hi all,

    have a laptop, new enough dell, tried to reinstall XP on it, now all the dell drivers etc are gone.
    Anywhere in Dublin I can just bring it and pay a few quid to get it all sorted?

    Turn over the laptop and look for a sticker with the service tag, PM me this and I'll send you a link to where you can get the drivers, they are all available online from dell.

    The above link is for the drivers for your exact laptop, if you can download them on another machine that is fine, I tend to add more details to the file name when saving because Dell give the files very generic names and it can be hard to figure them out later.

    First drivers to install are the chipset, called in your case, R138226.exe by Dell (see what I mean by generic? I'd call this R138226_chipset.exe)

    Next would be video, audio, network and so on. Order after the first two or three is unimportant.
