    Hi all,

Im in the market for a new laptop. Price range about 600-800 euro.

Not sure about whether to buy from the USA (bestbuy/compusa etc) or the UK (since sterling is weak).

Can anyone recommend UK online retailers to check out.

    Thanks.

well in the event your UK vendor doesnt particularly cater to ie its going to be a relatively painless thing to get yourself or the laptop over there for service. you have a higher chance of getting warranty service anyway with a UK laptop.

Go up North as i have heard from people they saved nearly 100€ each on new laptops bought in Newry.

Was thinking about getting international insurance. Got my current laptop 4 or so years ago, the screen got damaged and they sent a fedex box to pick it up before repairing it and returning it to me without any costs. I need to compare the price of the laptop with the insurance to a similiar laptop and cover in the UK.

Nope, just need to chop off the plug and replace it with an irish plug since all the laptop power leads use a transformer anyway (so can use it on 110v - 230v).

Was more looking at purchasing it online rather than in a brick and mortar shop.

So am looking for which UK online stores i should be looking at for a comparison?

    Thanks.
