ps 3 problem

    went to change a game earlier and it made a load of noise!! When putting in the new game it makes more noise and spits out the game!! turned it off prop and turned back on and it made the same noise and loads up but still wont take the game in! anyone know the problem?:mad:

    If your ps3 is still in warranty id either take it back to where you bought it or call the sony helpline

    One thing you can try before you ring Sony is to reset the disc tray.
    Power on your PS3 and then hold down the eject button for 15 seconds until you hear it cycling the loading mechanism.

    If you still have the receipt you might still be able to get it replaced by Sony. I've heard of a few people have theirs fixed or replaced that were 12 months out of warranty.

    Maybe it wasn't reading disks before this problem started? Might be better to go at Sony this way, then mention it won't load disks at all now.

    From what you say it might be that your laser can't read the disc cos it is dirty or damaged, causing it to move too close to disc and scraping it. This use to happen with my old PS2. Not sure if this still happens to PS3s... someone else who knows more about the PS3 would know better...

    I think it was do to with another thread here where i poster claimed to have bought 24 pirate games and wanted to know how he could chip his PS3, to which loads of posters said things like ''haha good enough for ya'' which started a long debate

    tried that and it didn't work:(. also it was playing games no problem
    .got a new game and went to change the game and its when it all started!! the noise happens when I turn it on also!
