Had two Bmw 2002 cars a few years back. Sold them both as I was moving house at the time. The first one was a green import, which I sold to a fellow from Galway. Car was in reasonably good nick and was driving and had some restoration done. The reg was a nice one 75 L 1. Anyone seen it recently. At that time around 94, I also had a Dublin registered tangerine orange coloured beemer 2002. Two lads from Dublin bought it , as when they saw it they remembered it when it was driving in Dublin several years previously. Anyone know if they restored it. They bought it from me in Co Limerick.
    ;)

I know the owner of a 2002 in that colour with Minilite style wheels. Mightn't be yours, but it's the only one I've ever seen in that colour.

    LOL, fancy that.

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Green BMW, didn't think he'd be selling that one for parts as he seemed intent on restoring it. Nice to know where it is , have you another 2002 ?

The car I bought with reg 75 L 1 was white in color.
I have the tax book some where. If i get a chance I will dig it out and check the color recorded on it. The car itself is stored with another parts car in a remote shed that I do not visit very often unless I need bits for our competition BMW 2002 with which we have done various events and track days over the past 10 years. My son plans to run the competition BMW 2002 in the irish historic car championship this year. I will take some pictures of it (75 L 1) if you are still interested when I am down at the storage shed again.

Would love to see one of those classic rallys. I believe there was one in Limerick last year as my friend had some photos of the cars. Quite a few from Northern Ireland on the run , but some real beauties.
Still like the 2002, they would be my favourite beemer. Thanks for the info on 75 L 1. ;)
