Spybot wont run

    Having a problem with a laptop which looks like its hijacked. It will connect to the web ok but when browsing you get redirected to various sites. Tried installing Spybot but the program wont start. Just egg timer and then dies off. AVG is installed but didnt find anything. I tried Adaware but it didnt find anything. I also notice that when I tried to run Hijack this ...it wouldnt open until I renamed the file on another p.c. and then transfered on USB key and installed. Deffo something strange but the usual fixed arent working. Any suggestions?
