Anyone any good ideas for club fundraising, something new.

Also the club lotto seems to be taking a bit of a nose dive , we run a lotto based on , pick 4 numbers from 1-39 but never get a decent jackpot as every 6-8 weeks it seems to be won.Are there any new lottos on the go,
a club beside us run an alphabet lotto , another run on the basis of 1-8 and you guess the sequence .

A night out at the dogs could be a good idea but that's only a one off.

You could get in touch with bord na gcon and they would be more than happy to help. You could sell advertising in the racecard and the privilege of walking the dog out etc and they are usually a good money spinner.

You could try a Golf classic aswell but thats a one off aswell and with the way the economy is goin it would be hard enough to sell advertising and corporates would probably be cutting down on unneccessary expenses and charitable donations.

    Good luck with it anyway.

    Pub quiz
    Sponsored walk
Kick fada/long puc that is open to the general public
Gamble the clubs funds on red at a roulette table
Maybe not the last one but there are loads of options

Race nights are nice little money earners.

Also if ye increase the numbers from 39-42 or 43, the probability of it being won lessens. The jackpot should then increase.

You could have a church gate collection, get a permit from the gardai to collect money around the town.

But from all suggestions I prefer Pride Fighters suggestion of the roulette table:pac:

Or a blackjack table 50 on the red and 50 on the black:)

    Good luck!

Tried the race nights, golf classics, quizzes and all the usual, the only problem we have we are asmall community and we are hitting the same businesses for sponsorship all the time, thought maybe some new ideas might be floating about .

Seen a new lotto where there are 8 numbers and you have to match the sequence to win the jackpot , any club using this and whats the odds to winning.

    Thanks all
