Have been looking at this. Really good value. Anyone got one or got opinion about it. Want a bike that is firm and responsive. Weight isnt really an issue once its fast. Thanks

If you want a Ti bike its good value. Reviewed well etc... Good pedigree too, the designer is well respected in the Ti bike world.

But do you really want to spend significantly more on the Ti bike over the equally good carbon (certainley as firm and most likely firmer, and definitely as fast...). If you are a Ti man go or it, its as good value as you will get. If you are just looking for a firm fast bike, the higher spec Carbon one they have is cheaper and will suit your requirements.

Thanks for that Quigs. Am leaning a bit towards the ti because the because me the reliability. Most of all want a firm responsive ride, a racing feel, so if people think that the ti wouldnt deliver that then i wouldnt get it. By the way i am 85kg 'racing weight' is that likely to have any bearing?

Considering that it's made by the Lynskey's family, i'd say it's very good value for money. I believe they were the original owners of Litespeed, great pedigree...
Lance used a rebranded litespeed (Trek decals)during the 1999 TdF and also to win the the rainbow jersey in 93 (Caloi branded).

Online reviews suggest that it meets both your requirements of being firm and responsive. Before i purchased my ti bikes was thinking about the Planet X.
    Best of luck.

Thanks jefferson. What did you get in the end? Does it compare well to carbon from a handling viewpoint?

I currently have a Merlin extralight, with a Baum ti on the way.
To be honest i've never owned a carbon bike so i'm not in a position to comapre like for like. I can say having previously owned steel and aluminium bikes that titanium compares quite favouriably.
It's comfortable on long rides, "springy" for want of a better word, like steel and as a bonus it also requires minimum maintenace, transport and storage wise it's hardy.
