After. You'll impress the ladies with your tales of foreign escapades.

    After (It's what I'm doing).

You'll impress people and coming home is hard. Coming home and trying too find a job is a bitch. BUt coming back to the student lifestyle is great! And the whole way around the world you don't have to be worrying about you're going to do when you get home.

Whe I dropped out of college people said I wouldn't go back. When I went travelling people said I wouldn't go back. Finally figured out 'people' don't know what I want to do with my life so to hell with them! If you need your masters for what you want to do you'll do it!

I'm going for after too but only because I can't afford to do one in September. I'm doing a J1 and with the money I earn I'll go traveling until December. Neamhshuntasach you read my mind. That's my whole plan to get girls for 09 and 2010.

I'm going for trip first, masters second as well. This is mainly because of circumstances, though. It suits my friends to go away this October but it won't suit 'em a year later. Also, I want to wait until my final year results come out before I apply for a masters, because I'm hoping that I'll get results of dazzling brilliance this year and consequently get a better masters course. And god, I need to get away too.

But there are pros of doing the masters first that you should consider. If you have it completed you can always extend your trip if you feel like it. Also, if you go away first, you might find it very difficult to return to the study-mode needed for a masters. Finally, you need to examine which way will fit in better with regard to applying for graduate jobs.
