We Were Promised Jetpacks from Glasgow are pretty damn good. They've been signed to Fat Cat records and have an album coming out in the next few months.

Yeah that Noah and the Whale album is pretty good.

Villagers are my band of 2009 I think. Conor O'Brien (ex immediate) is the brains behind it and hopefully there will be one amazing album released at some stage.

Yeah, I'll try get to see them in Doyles, I was devestated when The Immediate finished up.

Irish-wise, I'd say Little Green Cars will have a great year. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=88522667

Yep was a huge Immediate fan myself and this project is looking like it might be just as good if not better. The reviews so far for them seem promising. Heading to see them in Cork even though its a weekday gig and I've work the next day :( . They'll be worth the hours drive there and back though I'm sure :D

I hope they'll be worth the 30minute bus ride into town... I'd imagine so though :)

Realistic Train are great, saw them supporting Adebisi. Apparently Terrordactyl might be getting back to record a new EP this year so I'll be looking forward to that too. Quite like some of Little Green Cars stuff, met the violinist at a friends 21st, can't believe how young they are
