Hi all,

I would really love some help with this.

I have an old dell optiplex that i am transforming into media station.

The problem is that the usb ports are 1.0.

so i bought a 2.0 pci card, installed it and hoping it would turn to be 2.0 but it seems not.

Does this mean that the pci slot on the mobo can only be at a certain speed or something cause its not letting the new usb pci be a 2.0 speed.

Or is there some setting on the comp that i have missed.

I have installed the new drivers for the usb card and all.

Help would be much appreciated.

What OS are you running on this?
It greater than W98 it should run at USB2 speeds fine.
