Hello ,just back from snooping around town. Had a look in Game for cod4 ,found it with a price tag of about €32.
Thing is it was secondhand and didn't have secondhand written on it ,I had to ask the guy was it secondhand. They have nothing written on them to say they've been used.

For me thats made my mind up ,I'm never buying games in a bricks and mortar ever again.
How do others deal with this carry on ?

Thats not so bad so ,what really got me annoyed in Game was the guy wasn't sure if the game was new or not. He had to think about it and obviously anyone buying it wouldn't know any difference ,if they didn't ask.

Secondhand games are supposed to be stickered, but display cases get a battering out on shelves.

You can always have a look at the disc before you buy it. Doesn't really make a difference to me whether it's preowned, so long as I'm not paying for a new one and the disc is in decent condition.

I suppose the best way you can make sure it's a new game is to ask for a sealed/shrink wrapped version.

Maybe it was just the branch I was in ,but no games had secondhand stickers on them. What made me ask was the game secondhand was I spotted two same games beside each other ,with different prices.

Not necessarily though, lot of shops take the game out of the case to use the case for display.

    Hmm, that's a bit odd.

Usually Game use orange stickers on their preowned stuff. Unless it was part of the sale or something. Weird.
