Funny Pixel Problem on LCD

My Macbook's screen has a few funny spots on it. It only seems to appear when white or bright colours occupy the space. It's invisible on black.

There are two little clusters or pixels that are lighter in colour than what they should be. I thought it was a stuck pixel, but I don't think it is as it's not a certain colour, just a brighter shade of what it should be.

I used this for 20 mins and rubbed it a bit but both to no avail. Any advice on how to fix it or what it's called even?

It does sound like a stuck pixel. Have you tried tapping the pixels gently? Can work wonders.

    I agree with this.
AFAIK, most manufacturers have a tolerence for how many dead, stuck or hot pixels their screens have. If it falls within this tolerence and is ireparable, as in your case, then you're stuck with it! (no pun intended). However, if it exceeds the number of faulty pixels that the manufacturer allows, then you can return the laptop as "faulty" or they'lll replace the screen.
I think the number of pixels varies from manufacturer to manufacturer and I do not know what Apple's tolerences are for these, so you'll have to do the googling/phonecalls yourself.

    Hope this helps,

    U.

Apples policy is 9 dead pixels or they wont do a thing.

If its still under warranty and your going to persue remedial action from Apple make sure you say theres 9, all over the screen, blah blah.
