Self Editing

From time to time I have noticed posts where photos are found to be unacceptable to the poster on the grounds that they are not suitable for a general forum.

Having been a child during the Viet Naam war I find this attitude strange, as the news, for years, poured out images of fire and destruction that made adult life seem very strange indeed.

The self-editing of the past fifteen years or so, where politically correct domination has distorted public discourse to a parody of communication interests me a lot.

We now upload lorryloads of pretty images to the Web.

    Are we totally honest?
