Could anyone please help me, I'm trying to connect a wii to the internet but I'm not getting anywhere. The router is a Chorus Scientifica Atlanta 2203 and I can't even get into the routers setup screen for it's settings.

Scientifica Atlanta 2203 is a cable modem not a router.

Should work by connecting a network cable from it directly to the Wii. I have a wireless router connected to the cable modem, so my Wii connects over wifi to that rather than the cable modem. So I can't say for sure if it will work directly but I can't see why not.

I've tried hooking it up via the usb cables but all i'm getting is the 51420 code. Could you recommend a wireless router that I could use with the modem? Would the Wii Lan adapter solve the problem?

If it's not a wireless router, then you'll need a LAN adaptor for the Wii as it has no wired ports, only wireless.

You'll definitely need a wireless router. I have a netgear one. Just make sure that the router you're buying is suitable for cable broadband (most aren't). I'll check later to see the exact type

As said by Dodge make sure the router you get is a Cable router (not ADSL), you should find them in most shops Argos, PC World, etc

I have the Netgear WPN824 and works fine.

Mine is a netgear too. I'll check product code later. Its the one UPC gave me. Sign up to the 20Mb/sec for a couple of months and they'll give it to you for free afaik.
