I have finaly decided that I don't like my course and want to change. What's the deal with fees for when i go back next year? Who do I talk to? I know i have to talk to my tutor but I don't even know who he is...all I remeber is that his first name is Fintan and on the first day he told us not to bother him unless it was important.... I feel like such a waster, why did i stay in so long?

    Anyway, can anyone help me?

Can't give you advice but your tutor sounds like a tool. They should be there to help you with any college problems, or refer you to somebody who can.

    From another thread:

Yes, go immediately to your tutor if you want to transfer into another course. If they aren't in go to the Senior Tutor's office which is located here. If you want to quit college now and start again in September/October then you should still contact your tutor. Don't just stop going to lectures, it'll be a pain when you're trying to sort out your 'free fees' if you return to college.

You've missed one deadline for transferring into another 1st year course which was yesterday I think, but if you want to go into another course starting September in Trinity you should get in contact with your tutor.

If you want someone to give you the rundown on what it involves you should drop into Hugh Sullivan (Education Officer) in the Students' Union in House 6.

As far as I know, you can request to change tutors, which might be worth doing if you've got an asshole like that.

If you've re-registered for this year then you'll have to pay full fees next year. If not, make sure they know you've dropped out, and then you'll only have to pay half-fees. If you're staying in college, you're applying for a transfer; if you're dropping out, you're re-applying through the CAO. (If you're not sure of what you want to transfer into, might be worth doing the CAO thing - college only lets you put down one course.)

You can find out who your tutor is on the Student Record section of the Student Information System. You may need to register using that second link before you can access it all.

Really? Ithought if you reregistered you had to pay for the whole thing...I still don't know if I want to drop out though.
I'm glad to know I'm not alone though! ;)
I'd rather not say what course I'm doing though 'cause I know it'd be the biggest bit of gossip ever if the others got wind of someone dropping out(it's quite a small course). But it is a course that would almost certainly gaurentee me a career and if I dropped out I'd prob do a TSM or some other random arts dergree so now my dad keeps saying things like "Stick with it, you know the economy."
