Hey this is my first post. Would to get some feedback on this course from current or past students. I'm considering putting it as my first choice on the CAO as i wish to study acturial science. Cheers :D

Is there anything you'd like to know specifically?
I'm in 2nd Year Maths&Physics, can tell you bits about some of the maths modules but I'd be no help when it comes to the financial/acturial side of maths I'm afraid.

basically the level of difficulty in the maths modules, is it totally different to LC maths or a progression?? Would you need an A1 to cope?

How many hours of lectures a week in first year?

The minimum entry requirement for CK407 a B3 in HL maths. I got a B2 and am managing fine (although I entered through CK408). You definitely don't need an A1 as long as you're willing to put in a bit of work.

How many hours a week? That I'm not too sure of, it depends on what electives you take. AFAIK you have to do the modules MA1054, MA1058, MA1057, AM1053, AM1052, ST1051 and AM1054. Most of those are two lectures a week (although MA1054 is three lectures a week.)
You'll have optional modules in Physics, Computer Science, Accounting and Economics.
