How small is too small?

Hi just looking for some womens perspective on this. Im single and a virgin and have found myself running away from situations when it comes to having sex on several occasions because I think I might not be big enough to satisfy her. I dont know if its all just in my head but I think most men are alot larger than me and if I did get to the point of having sex with a woman I think I would probably be the smallest guy she has had. Just wandering what is the sort of minimum size a woman would like in bed and I know alot are gonna say size doesnt matter etc but lets be honest it does! Im just over 5 inches by the way and 6'2"...Id happily trade those 2 inches and move them down below!

Almost all statistics about penis size are rubbish anyway because in nearly all the surveys the blokes just give their size .... ie not scientific at all.

OP here. Ha maybe it is the porn!! I dont know, its just i hear my mates saying im 7 inches or 6 and a half blah blah (maybe they are just lying or bragging cause your certainly not gonna hear guys like me bragging). Or when in the gym (you all know we sometimes throw a sneaky glance!!) you notice all these well hung guys around and it just makes me think im small as they all look bigger then me. Also all the women I know dont help, friends and work collegues, always talking about penis size!!

Nah, the statistics from studies where they actually study it rather than just do a poll for a tabloid or magazine are more accurate than that, but "just over 5 in" would certainly be more than μ-σ for that bell-curve.

mull over this in yr head next time you're worried about size:

there's many a time a finger or two has done wonders on us ladies, and look at the size of your average finger
it's absolutely more to do with how you use it

Yeah maybe a little bit smaller than normal (maybe a .5") but definitely not the smallest any woman will ever see that's for sure. You are making more of it than it really is, and those size surveys are ridiculously inacurate. Anyways it mostly comes down to technique. Wouldn't you rather she thought to herself it's a bit smaller than normal but Jesus what he does with it is amazing... It's not the size of your boat, it's the motion in the ocean. I forget who it is, there was a rumour about someone famous who has a small one but is an absolute demon in the sack, and I don't mean numbers btw. I'm most certainly a grower, so I never pay attention to lads in a gym/shower and never ever to the cervix-ripping blokes in porn. I agree with unreggy, if a finger can do for many's a girl then a five incher will work just as well.

OP again. Thanks for the replies guys. Just spent the last couple of hours googling info on this. You think I would have done that earlier! I feel a little better about it now. I guess im not too much below average. Its just at 6'2" I feel I was a little short changed for a tall man. Maybe it is just looking at it from a top down perspective that makes me think im smaller. Sure I came across some guys with micro penises so maybe I shouldnt be worrying so much! Guess I just gotta get out there and start using it, stop turning down opportunities.... practice makes perfect! If the first time a girl laughs im coming back to get you all:)

Funny but true. Same goes for men as well. Without a ruler try to gauge what six inches is. It's not easy.

Women don't go around with rulers when they have sex. They're thinking about the life support system for the willy more than the willy. OK they will be disappointed if it's only thumbsized, but that's about it.

They have an internal scale, which would be along the lines of.... Is that it? That looks and feels nice. Whoah! That's huge. The first and the last bring their own issues. OP again. Well its about 4 inches in circumference. I used a little programme on Mraverage.com which shows a picture of your size against the average. Im clearly a little below average but sure I guess I cant run forever. I reckon I should start using it so that I know what Im doing with it or its only gonna get worse in the future. Everyone who says size doesnt matter, its the person who is attached to it, well if its a girl you met in a club that night im sure she isnt gonna care too much who is attached to it as she is hardly going to know you. Not that im gonna look for one night stands, im just saying. Also if size didnt matter that much than why isnt there any 5 inch dildos?

My reasoning would be that there may well be women who would prefer shorter dildos. But if the dildo manufacturer only made short dildos, then they would be avoiding those who wanted larger dildos (which I'm guessing is the lion's share of the market). So by making long dildos, they are catering for everybody; remember that just because she owns a long dildo, doesn't mean she necessarily *uses* the whole length.

OP, dont start comparing yourself to dildos! like the other poster said, its more practical for dildo manufacturers to mass produce them big enough to suit the range of requirements. you can consider that the bottom half of a dildo is the handle, or contains the batteries. as already said, sex is much much more than the size of your dick, when the time comes you can do wonders with wour finger or your tongue, dont be fixated on your dick!

OP again. Seriously thanks everyone for replying...Although I feel better about the situation now I actually feel a little angry at myself also for worrying as much as I did and missing out on some much needed practice! I have honestly turned down dates or lay in bed with women and said I havent a condom so cant have sex because I was so worried about my size. I think I have alot of time to make up for, now all I need to worry about it not being dreadful in bed
