    Hi all.

Just a quick question as to where I could acquire one of the above mentioned tops, and how much do they cost?

    Cheers!:D

There are periodic rounds of kit orders. Look out for the next one and put your name on the list.

No one has asked in a while, but if you agree to organise it I'm sure you'll find plenty of people who will pipe up :)

Well if colblimp wants to start a list,I'd add my name to it. All my old tops don't fit me anymore.:o

I want one too, but as a slightly larger gentleman, they don't come big enough!

Yeah they do -they come in all sizes, and will do em custom if you ask, no extra cost! We've some big lads in boards gear already :)

Oh jeez, what have I started lol?!!!

Is someone willing to take this on? TBH, I wouldn't know where to start...

If someone is taking it on count me in for one. I don't have a proper jersey yet and it's gross to go cycling an a sweaty t shirt . . . ew . . . And that they do them in "not skinny" sizes is great for me.

Is there going to be a new design for 2009?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,168 ✭✭✭colblimp

Who organised it the last time round? Perhaps they could get involved? I think it would make sense to keep the design the same, what do people think?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,860 ✭✭✭TinyExplosions

No plans atm for a new design, as it raises the cost (I think there's another fee for a redesign), but I'm happy to come up with one if people want!

Colblimp, myself, penexpers and rogerb have all coordinated orders, and it's very simple really. Create a thread, stick a closing date for orders on it and sit back and wait. Once the deadline passes, contact everyone and get the cash from them (paypal is easiest, but beware that they may temporarily freeze your account until you supply more info if you suddenly get a grand into it (happened to me and rogerb I think). Once you've got the money and sizes/quantities, send it off to Carvalho (order form on their site), and wait for a few weeks till you get the gear from them, and then distribute it out whatever way you want!

It's a bit of a fiddle, and an organisational headache, but isn't too bad if you're organised

Lets take a step back a minute. I started the thread asking where I could get a top from. Now it seems I'm taking the orders and organising it all! Sorry lads, I didn't plan to do all that...

Sorry mate, I wasn't suggesting that you do it, was merely saying the process that we went through in the past! You've not got yourself into anything, don't worry :)

I'm happy organise an order at painful as its sounds. I have a paypal account with the required limits... I'm also thinking that perhaps we could look around for some examples of sizing and arrange a try out -- of course those people on this forum would have to lend out some examples.

Any good pictures of the tops around? I've seen them a few times but never got a good look.

Sounds a good idea -I've an XL top and training jacket people are free to try out

Would like to try them. Have an XXL winter top, but it is way to baggy and long for my (Apart from waist). So would like to try on the regular XL cycling top please.

True, I got a xxxl in the first order.. its more like a dress now. I think the sizes are quite big compared to other brands.

the jackets are smaller sized than the jerseys for some reason. the M jersey is a fine fit on me, the M jersey is tight, but just about wearable. Even after xmas dinners :)
