A good private cardiologist.....

    Hi guys,

I know this probably isn't the appropriate forum for this, but I don't know man docs who work in GP/adult services in Ireland.

I'm coming back to Dublin next week for a few visits. I'm going to be going to visit my gran, who recently had an MI.

On discharge, beaumont docs want her to see a cardiologist (sounds like magic care in Beamont A+E, btw. My thanks to them if anyone works there. My gran was reall scared about going to an A+E on a friday night, and my mum was nervous about it too. But they were seen quickly, and treated really well, despite it being extremely busy. She staed in what seems like it might have been a acute medical unit for about 2 days too, and my gran didn't want to leave, as the staff were so nice to her).

Anyway, gran has had a rough time of it with her health. We have a very big family, so we always pay for her to go private, as her health insurance that we bought her doesn't always cover everything she needs.

So she lives in Santry, and my non medical family have been asking me about a good cardiologist who's on that side of the city. Preferably someone who works out of the bons (in case she needs to go into hospital for an angio or anything...she wa sin the bons secours before and loved it).

Does anyone know a good cardiologist we could book her into? She already has a GP letter (local GP said all the cardiologists locally are as a good as each other, and he's probably right, but I'd just like opinions.

I don't want people arguing about how good or otherwise individual cardiologists are on a public forum, so I'll lock the thread, and if anyone has any suggestions they could maybe PM me.

I'd be very grateful for any opinions.

    Thanks in advance.
