    Hi,
My dishwasher has stopped taking water, the inlet pipe is connected and the valve turned on, so water is being supplied. The machine hasn't been moved and has worked ok for the last number of years.
Any ideas of other things I can check before calling repair man?

    Thanks,
    D

if you know what you are doing you can check the filter in case it has become clogged. You can also check to see if the inlet valve is being energised. If it is and no water is dellivered then the valve is faulty. If no power is reaching the valve then the problem is elsewhere-timer,doorlock etc.

I just got a new dishwasher, and I'm trying to install it. I've connected the water to the valve thingy under the sink, and the machine gave an error saying no water. I disconnected the machine, and am trying to check the valve, but no matter which way I turn the bit of plastic on the front, no water comes out.

Any ideas? I really can't afford a plumber!
