Just found out there that the Tour Down Under is going to be shown live on Sky Sports.

I'd say with Sky's sponsorship of the new British team that this is only the beginning of the live racing that Sky will provide.

At least its only the Tour Down Under. It would annoy me no end if more cycling shifted over to Sky Sports. It's bad enough having to subscribe for digital TV just for Eurosport. Having to get Sky Sports on top of that would be a pain.

    Are Eurosport gonna show it?

Doubt Eurosport would show a pre-season race like that. Cycling.tv are down to show it though.

After a bit more browsing I found this on the tour down under website.

B Sky Sports in the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Eire and Isle of Man will show the daily highlights package.

So maybe it's not live on Sky after all. Bit relieved really, having just forked out for the Cycling.tv premium package.

Get on the dodgy box bandwagon tonto!!
