How many channels do you have saved?

An old bug with sky digiboxes is that when you store over 35-40 channels it can cause the lot to dissapear, so try to keep it under 30 channels.

If it's only a small few you are saving, try to do a software update on the box, that may work, otherwise I'm stumped.

Thanks, it was defo less than 30 - just the usual BBC Channel 5,4 ITV etc.
What do i do to update again - i remember something like holding up arrow when powering on or something?

    Plug it out...

Hold the backup button on the digibox (Not on the the remote)......

    Plug the box in....

Wait for 4 lights to come up on the front panel......

    Release the backup button.....

    Finally.... Wait! :)

It's not one of those newer Pace boxes, whitish in colour, with a big green/red power button on the left? Can't recall the model number offhand, but these seem to delete other channels at will, especially when using interactive services.

I have this box and the problem. I have given up adding channels. I didn't make the link with the interactive stuff, but it makes sense. Thanks.

    I don't suppose there's any fix?

Had that problem, I found if you add upto 7 Channels it was ok, more than 7 and it wiped them all out.

Even with 2 or 3, mine still wipes them.

That is a known problem on the old grundig sky boxes. I had one of those before SKY+ and it could'nt hold more than 7 other channels in the services section. When powered off it would wipe the lot. Keep the numbers below 7 and it should be fine.
