    Hi,

I am a manager in a sales team and i want to make my room really loud. Does anyone know of any websites with background noises, the point of the exercise is if i have noise in the room then everyone will be loud on the phone.

    Turn on a cd?

Not too sure what you are trying to achieve though?

want to keep noise levels up....ye know say for instance everyone is quiet then no one wants to make a call, because they think everyone is listening and focusing on their conversation but if you have noise in the background then people become less conscious of being on the phone, believe it or not!

ha I believe this 100%, I'm in sales and can see some people feel uneasy making the call when it's quiet, especially a cold call.

I've heard some people having a radio on the office which seemed to work. Also the lead by example approach can be used. You get on the phone when nobody is on it, that can make people nervous when their manager does it so they feel they should be on the phone as well. Or if you don't make the sales calls designate one of your top guys to do it.

Just to add that if you decide to stream the radio you may have to pay IRMA an annual fee.

I think this is wacky. Sales people can't be shy to be heard. Sorry to be blunt but you've hired the wrong people. Also you need to drive them, by incentives, and by example and with some pressure. Not facilitate this crazy behaviour.

Lol We tried this in my last job and it actually works!

Failing that getting a radio would work...
