CA36k VS the KWA G36c

hi everybody (in a doctor nick riviera way) im a bit stuck as to which aeg im gona get next week
the Classic Army CA36k or the KWA G36c

links to this retailer are banned - Gandalf CA36k
links to this retailer are banned - Gandalf G36c

im kinds half and half between both of them i like the CA36k cause its got a basic 2.5 scope built in and its larger barrel means with a decent scope some basic sniping would be option but i like the G36c for its price and apparent build quality

ive been looking at reviews on the ol tube but most mouth breathing americans dont say anything that would turn me away from either aeg they just run though the check list of looks and features.

Id mostly be playing cqb with what ever aeg i end up getting and while you might be quick to say get the smaller KWA G36c but when folded the CA36k measures in at about 615 mm (all praise the almighty wiki amen) and with unfolded stock the KWA G36c is about 715 mm folded in my opinion the KWA G36c looks a bit too small.

As you can see im in a pickle here and a second / third or dare i even say it a fourth opinion would be greatly appreciated

Choose whatever you think looks better, but KWA internally by miles.

I own the CA and I've seen enough KWA's inside and out to tell you that the KWA is far superior. The CA has a decent body but even that quality has slipped and the mold lines have become awful. The KWA internals are far superior though. The scope on the CA is also legendary in it's uselessness. Most people replace it with an aftermarket G36c top rail and apply their own scope.
There's a third option you may not have considered, the JG G36k and G36c. Both have far better quality than the CA and are as good as (though better in my personal opinion) the KWA. It's also cheaper, which never hurts. The JG G36c has a reputation throughout airsoft as one of the most reliable rifles ever made, a claim I've seen proven over and over again first hand.

My advice, stay away from the CA. Go with the JG or KWA. I'd recommed the JG over the KWA because the extra money on the KWA simply doesn't get you much extra performance wise to justify.

It wasn't listed on their site, but the guys in the Eirsoft shop sold me a JG G36K just before Christmas. It didn't have the carrying handle with the sight but they are for sale seperately.

Maybe you should have a chat with them about it.

I bought the CA36k a few months back and quickly regretted it. Production quality is very poor, several components in it have broken (and not all of them were my fault either!). I'd definitely stay away if I were you.

I think the others who recommended the JG G36c have the right idea. From everything I've heard it's a far superior gun (for almost half the price too:(). I'll be getting one soon myself to replace my buggered-up CA36k.

JG G36c all the way we rattle on about it so much for a reason

If the carry handle scope is what your after it can be picked up all over the internet for cheap enough, some of them even have a rail ontop so if you want you can stick a red dot or smething ontop of the scope

I would say that the KWA is better although it is not worth the price difference. If you have plenty of money you may as wel get the KWA, but if you aare a normal punter get the JG, one of the most sturdy guns I have ever felt:D

JG would be the best option, as for the sight, i have it on my G36c myself and its a load of crap, the eye relief is muck but it does look nice, go for a regular g36c rail so you can pick whatever scope you like., :)

    All being said above.

Although I've run the bollox of my JG G36c, repairs have been quick and easy. And its took a fair run for the piston to strip.

I have the rail that has the scope and red dot sight. Its for show and gucci factor, its in no way useable. Best of getting the normal rail mount version and putting on whatever scope you desire.

Although I always found my g36c accurate to the money using iron sights.

KWA or JG, I'd say JG so you can save a good few bob for yourself, and get a great performing AEG.

If you want a high end G36 go for a Star, they have full trades and they are very cheap for some reason right now if you order one from outside the UK. But JG are the go to for G36's since they do them all now.

problem with the star though, it uses a unique gearbox so if anything happens to that box, your f*&ked.,

stay away from ca i had a spr and the quality for the case is good but all the internals are very bad no quality at all. i have the kwa g39c and i use a 7.4v 2200mha lipo battery in it and it works very well and i have just changed out the hop-up bucking rubber to a promethius hard and the proformance is brill but now i am going to change out my piston o-ring to a teflon o-ring for longer wear. jg is and all the cheap soft quality is getting better and better. but i would recomend kwa.
