    Hi
Having taken the plunge and moved up a step from digiscoping birds (feathered kind), i have just taken advantaged of the collapse of the pound and purchased a decent Nikon camera . I've stretched my limited resources i was wondering if anyone has experience of the cheaper accessories offered on E**y . I need a couple of spare batteries and a wire or infrared remote. .Are these worth the money or not? I've used generic batteries for my Coolpix with no real problem . i would be interested to here your thoughts on this .

I bought a non brand battery grip on eBay for my Canon, it came with a free remote (wire) and 2 spare batteries for approx 60 euro from Hong kong.

Considering a Canon battery grip is 100+, a battery is 35+ each etc it's a bargain!! I don't mind that it's non brand so long as it works.

I also bought a viewfinder for about 15 euro from HK incl delivery. I was expecting a cheat piece of plastic but it's actually a sturdy piece of kit!!

GOt the Canon Batt grip as a xmass presant and it comes with an option to use normal AA batts ,Ive gotten AA's off e**y before and have had no probs with them at all ,you'll need to look for 3000mAh rechargable to make it worth your while, something like these
    http://cgi.ebay.ie/4-x-AA-Rechargeable-Ni-MH-Batteries-3000-mAh-NEW_W0QQitemZ200294391319QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ConsumerElectronics_Batteries_SM?hash=item200294391319&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1300%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

And today Ive just orderd my nifty fifty (canon) off e**y from china for €277 ,although I should have done it last week when it when £ was 97-1 instead of 88-1 today
