    Hi All

I was hopeing that someone can direct me to finding places in Dublin that stock evening gowns for tall girls. I have a wedding coming up and girls have to wear long dresses and the problem for me is that im 5'10. I have tried a couple of stores in Dublin but they all come to my ankles.

    Im getting desperate:rolleyes:

    Thanks a lot

if you wear vintage i'm sure there would be some incredible maxi dresses at any of the vintage stores.

    Wild Child
Epoch - both on crow street, out back of urban outfitters
New one on Camden street dont know its name,
Flip- temple bar dont think they have dresses though
Harlequin- back of georges street arcade
Jenny Vanders -back of georges street arcade
Perk up vintage at the loft market on the weekends.

There may be more just cant think of them, hope that helps.

Hey not sure they would still have long dress in stock or even if they have what you'd like, but there is a Long Tall Sally Shop in Clerys on O'Connell Street that would specialise in clothes for tall women.

You could give them a try if they still there.

Long Tall Sally will have few if any suitable dresses, but they may have due to the party season just gone!!

You could also try Fran&Jane stores (Clarendon Street and CHQ). While not made specifically for tallies, I bought one of their dresses before for a ball and it was long enough for someone taller than you!

    Hi
i was interested in your post because my wife sells dresses and usually she has the opposite problem as she claims that most dresses are made for 5'9" models in high heels and so she has to get them shortened.

    Hi

Im not sure what height your wife is, but by trying on the dresses i feel they are made for average girls around 5'5 5'6. I suppose shorter ladies do have the problem of taking them up too, they really should make three different length sizes!!

Hi just came across your post and wondering if you ever have a problem finding short/knee length dresses to suit. I find that they generally seem to be cut for the average height girl and the lines seem to fall in the wrong places for me.... Anybody else find this and if so is there any brand or shop that seem to have dresses to suit us taller girls?
    Thanks!
