So this story is a bit of a mess but ill try make sense of it..

During the summer I was hanging out with a group of 6 girls, 4 of which are my closest friends. One girl who we will call Amy, was a childhood friend. Our mom’s were friends growing up so naturally we were friends. My mom passed away so that im afraid was the end of our friendship.

I got back in contact with Amy through my best friend (Jen) who is also friends with her and from there our group formed. On a girls night out all the trouble started. Amy, Jen and another girl from the group had a falling out. Neither girl it turns out was happy about the way each girl handled the fight an things were said etc. This fight marked the end of our friendship with Amy.

I myself probably didn’t handle the situation well at all but there is nothing I can do about that now. I felt that I had to support Jen on this so I did. A couple of weeks later Amy contacts me 2 say she wanted to clear the air between us and she understands I had nothing to do with it and that I had to stick with Jen.

Since it has transpired that Amy is not a very nice person! It turns out she was trying her best to turn two of the girls against each other and cause a lot of hassle! Also we have heard back a lot of things that had been said about us. Generally things have been very messy and bitchy but nothing has been said about me, so I felt that she had nothing against me.

Before Christmas I met this guy, we got on great and things were going well between us. Then I learned that he is an ex of Amy’s. I felt very uneasy about this but by then I really liked this guy. We went on our first date after Christmas and it went great, we talked, held hands, kissed and all that jazz. We went back to his and watched a DVD and cuddled on the couch. That was the last time I heard from him.

I couldn’t figure out what had gone wrong. Why did it go from talking to each everyday to nothing?! It’s only now that I find out that he and Amy are still friends and that she called over to see him the morning after our date. I can’t help but feel she has done or said something about me! Jen and the girls are saying its in her nature to do something and that in her eyes he is still hers.

So basically I don’t know what do to? Should I back off and forget about it? Should I do something? Amy is moving away next Friday, should I wait till she is gone to do something? What would I do? I could of course be deluding myself maybe it has nothing to do with Amy and he just isn't bothered!

    what do i do??

    :(

Definitely distance yourself from that amy, I had a friend like that before and I just had to distance myself from her. It shouldn't be too hard since she's moving away anyway.

I would call him or text him though, just say you had a nice time with him and could ye do it again sometime. That's not stalking at all and if you don't you'll just be driving yourself mad wondering what happened. At least that way you can find out if he's interested still and if not you can then move on and try to forget about it, but I'd have hope. It sounds like he was really into you.

Give yourself a clean break, forget about him, you only had one date!! It sounds like he's still friends with Amy so you'll never be rid of her if he's in the picture.

    Forget them both.

I don't know if I'd call or text him.
If he really was interested in you he would have said something to you, even if it was to politely tell you he couldn't see you anymore.

If this is Amy's doing, then how do you know she won't constantly do things like this even if she is away and he'll always put her first or believe what she says?

    If it's not Amy's doing, then he's a jerk.
Unless he had a death in the family/lost his phone or other genuine reason for not contacting you of course.

Also who told you she went to see him the morning after your date?
And how would they know this

    A friend told me!

So he text me yesterday to see how i was etc, the conversation didn't last long and pretty much consisted of asking how the other was.

Theres a session on tonight in our local pub. Im considring inviting him? I guess judging on his reaction i'll know how he feels about it all

He said he could'nt go because he was meeting some friends.

He was rather nice about it but im guessing if he really was bothered he would possibly arranged another time to meet or something?! so im just gonna leave it!

    Thanks for all the posts!

    :)
