You could head to Belfast. Its a great city with lots to do. I used to go up every week when th egf was in college up there. I still go up once every month or so for a night. There are plenty of places to stay. I've stayed in the Days Inn, Hilton, Jurys inn etc. You want it cheap and cheerful says in the Days Inn IMO. It has free parking and is very central. As for things to do, there is the usual bus tour, The Odyssey arena (see if there is a concert or an ice hockey game on), Black taxi tour (very good - takes you to all the places you heard about in the troubles), the Belfast eye(like the London eye only smaller). The list goes on and on.

Oh the Odyssey also has this thing for called W5. Its an interactive science/discovery kinda thingy. I went with the gf for an hour or two and ended up spending hours there.

There are lots of good places to eat and drink too so you wont be stuck in that department either.

My dad is from the north(Fermanagh) and I spend a lot of time up there too.

    Hope that helps you out.

Was up in Belfast last week. Nice city. Stayed in the Malmaison - http://www.malmaison-belfast.com/

Very nice hotel, central location. Only problem was they had no car park, so you had to use on-street parking or use the car park at Victoria Square Shopping centre.

I booked 2 nights in the Hilton Templepatrick for about 80 euro including breakfast (part of the current 50% off Hilton deals).

I also booked Cirque du Soleil that weekend as well

    North Antrim coast every time.

Stunning scenery. Surfing, beaches, giants causeway etc etc...

Stay in B&B in Portrush or Portstewart - then explore.
