Braces & Veneers advice - discreet teeth straightening required

I had a retainer brace for two years during my teenage years but the dentist I went to didn't do too good a job. Roughly 10 years on I'm thinking of doing something to help the appearance of my smile once more. One thing I'm considering are Veneers. The other avenue I would be open to considering would be a discreet form of braces as I'm conscious that presentation etc in my job is a must and to honest I would feel very conscious with anything overly pronounced anyway. My teeth are not unbearable or anything but all this said both top and bottom need improvement.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
