    Hi
Has anyone had any problems with the Imedia X2416 running Vista Home Premium.
This is the second machine, the first i returned end of December 08, it was constantly crashing and when i called up the PC World help desk they ran me through using the diognostic tools, which said there was problems with the hard drive (Western Digital WD64), also problems with the Ram. Didnt want it repaired at that stage just replaced, Currys replaced it no problems.
I got the same machine running fine until last night. Powered the machine off and it started itself back up again, shut it down and it did the same thing again, it did this several times.
I have checked the power options in the Bios nothing there that I can see that would be causing this.
So this evening tired to turn the machine on it started for about 2-3 seconds then shut down. After 3 attempts got it running, then it just powered off not Shut Down but powered off as if there was a power failure. Also ran the diognostic tool on the new machine again teeling me it cant fing the hard drive or theres an error with the drive.
Going to call the helpdesk tomorrow but before I do has anyone had any similar problems, I am thinking it might be better just returning it and getting my money.

    Thanks

Hi. What was the final outcome of your problems ? I am interested because 'exactly' the same happened to me. Almost identical except that mine kept corrupting everything, including my backup disk !!
I got mine replaced as well 'eventually', but I am not going to use it and take the risk of loosing everything so will sell it.
I tried to get my money back, inside the 28 days, but they did not want to know. !
