Heart tests

    Hi,
I was talking to a cyclist recently about hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and the tests he has had done to check for it. He mentioned 3 tests, the first 2 I recognised (ECG and ECHO) but he described a third one that I have heard about before but can't recall its name. Basically it involves stapping a device to your chest for 24 hours and having your heart activity measursed. I assume it's some sort of prolonged ECG but would like to know the correct word for it?

Ive had both a stress test and echo done. I also had a 24 heart moniter attached to me. Its used to record blood pressure at random intervals. So tahst what it sounds like to me

It's a 24 hour holter monitor. A 24 hour blood pressure monitor is a different device.
